NIH funding advocate to step down

Mary Woolley, the face of biomedical research advocacy in Washington for more than three decades, announced she will step down as president and CEO of Research!America in early 2026. The organization is one of the most prominent advocates for NIH funding on Capitol Hill.

Galapagos N.V. (Euronext:GLPG; NASDAQ:GLPG) hired Sooin Kwon as CBO and Dan Grossman as chief strategy officer, effective Aug. 4. Kwon was a partner at boutique investment bank MTS Health Partners, leading strategic deals and financings in biotech and pharma. Grossman has been a venture partner at SeedFund Capital and is a 20-year veteran of Boston Consulting Group, where he was most recently managing director and senior partner in the global healthcare practice. The new hires will report to Henry Gosebruch, who became CEO of the Belgian biotech in May. ...
