We do not retain credit card information beyond the time needed to complete the transaction for which you have given it to us. Note: Some of the credit services we use to collect payments on our behalf have their own privacy policies, which may allow them to use your personal information to send their marketing communications to you. Service Profile Information. Some of BioCentury’s Products or Services may provide you the option of customizing your use of the Product or Services. If you choose to take advantage of these features, it may be necessary to provide additional information in order for the Product or Service to provide the content or services according to your preferences. These preferences will not be shared with third parties.
Email Information. If you choose to correspond further with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.

We currently use a number of third party web, marketing and analytics services. These services are used for (1) the collection and analysis of data regarding the usage our Web Site, (2) delivery of personalized user experiences and (3) management of user preferences. The information collected may include pages visited, actions taken, the date and time of the activity, your preferences regarding specific settings and choices, your IP address, and your location as reported by your hosting service or network provider. Some of these services may place cookies on your device in order to assist us with those functions. A number of the services we currently use include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Marketo Munchkin, Inspectlet, Appcues, and OneTrust. As described above in "Web Site Use Information" and "Third Party Services" we collect this information about your use of our Products and Services (1) to improve how our Products and Services work; (2) to identify inappropriate use of our Products and Services; (3) to provide better service to our customers and prospective customers, and (4) upon written request, to provide the customer with aggregate data on the use of our subscription products by the customers’ employees.

Your personal information is not otherwise shared with third parties and is never sold or traded or distributed outside of BioCentury for marketing purposes.
We may enter into strategic alliances or partnerships with third parties (“Strategic Partners”) for the purposes of jointly providing additional products or services. If you wish to obtain or use these products or services, you may be asked to provide personal information directly to our Strategic Partners to deliver the product and/or service. These parties may have their own privacy policies, which will govern their use of your personal information. If your access to BioCentury’s Products or Services is provided by your employer or another third party, your employer or that third party may provide us with limited amounts of personal information about you to enable your access to the Products and Services. In addition, your employer or the third party may require us to provide them with information about your access to the Products or Services, for example to verify that you are using the Products and Services they have purchased on your behalf. In addition, we may be required to provide your employer or third party with personally identifiable information in order to enforce compliance with the BioCentury User Agreement or other applicable BioCentury license agreement.
From time to time, we may obtain names from third parties that may contain individuals’ personal information. We do not accept names from third parties that do not comply with the privacy laws and regulations that govern the rest of our business, and our use of such personal information is subject to the same permissions and consents as apply to other personal information in our possession.
BioCentury offers you the choices and means to limit our use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information, and control how we communicate with you. You may, at any time, select not to receive any BioCentury product emails, any BioCentury marketing emails or any BioCentury emails on behalf of third parties. You may also at any time request that (a) BioCentury stop processing your personal data, (b) BioCentury remove any personal data about you from our systems to the extent required by the relevant data protection authority, and (c) BioCentury provide you with an export of the personal data we maintain about you.
BioCentury will provide you with a clear, conspicuous, readily available mechanism to exercise these choices. We will take all reasonable steps to honor your request. You may modify your Password at any time by using the Forgot Password function on the BioCentury Web Site. This password is stored in a secure, encrypted format so that no one else, including BioCentury, can read, see or use it.
You may contact firstname.lastname@example.org to notify BioCentury of changes to your personal information, to review and correct your personal data if they are inaccurate, or to delete such data if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for some legitimate business purpose.

Information Security. Personal information and user-specific settings and preferences are stored using commercially standard database and web site security software. User passwords are saved in encrypted form to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction.
Evaluation of Information Protection Practices. Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with corporate policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information.
Employee Access, Training and Expectations. Our employees are required to protect confidential third-party information in general as a condition of employment at BioCentury, and our business practices limit the use and disclosure of such information, including personal information, to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
Email Communications. Any email that you may send to us may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information such as Social Security or credit card account numbers to us through an unsecured email.
