Infraredx raises $25 million from Nipro

Infraredx Inc. (Burlington, Mass.) raised $25 million in an equity round from Nipro Corp. (Tokyo:8086; Osaka:8086), which has exclusive rights to distribute Infraredx's TVC Imaging System in Japan. The companies expect Japanese approval next half of the system, which combines intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
