We employ a fully integrated multimedia platform — including electronic publications, online data solutions, interactive websites, webcasts, and in-person as well as digital conferences. No matter where our customers are in the drug development process — from idea to patient — we help answer critical questions, decipher strategic trends, objectively evaluate product and business strategies, and assess competitive, financial, and policy risks.

Key Job Objective:

The Senior Research Analyst works with the Director of Research, and across departments, to compile and evaluate primary and secondary research supporting BioCentury’s core businesses of written content, data and conferences.

In particular, the Senior Research Analyst works closely with the Business Development department to provide the research and expert input required to successfully carry out BioCentury’s conference business.

Specific responsibilities include:

Conducting research to support editorial analysis and conference content, including gathering data from the Company’s BCIQ database and external sources on industry product pipelines, financings, deals, R&D and other topics.

Working with Editorial analysts to design research projects and surveys and structuring the results in a logical way that allows conclusions to be drawn and trends to be detected.

Translating research results into short data content and data visualizations that “tell a story.”

Working closely with the Business Development team to select presenting companies for BioCentury’s conferences, using biopharma domain knowledge to evaluate candidate companies; evaluate sponsor nominations for presenting companies; and group presenters by themes to help structure a compelling and informative agenda for attendees.

Working closely with Editorial Analysts and Business Development to apply knowledge of the biopharma domain to construct relevant and timely content for BioCentury’s conferences.

Providing data for external or internal presentations by Company executives or Editorial leaders.

Working with members of other departments in the Company, including Sales & Customer Success, to answer questions about the biophama landscape and otherwise support business information needs throughout the company.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience conducting primary and secondary research for analysts, investors or consultants.
