BioCentury provides independent deep-dive analysis, high-quality data and business intelligence to biopharmaceutical executives and investors in the U.S., Europe and Asia. We dissect trends before others, helping to position our customers for change and to capitalize on that change before the competition. KEY JOB OBJECTIVE
The Sales Development Representative’s goal is to identify and generate sales opportunities by profiling strategic accounts and priority prospects, identifying key individuals, researching and obtaining business requirements and presenting solutions to start the sales cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This entry-level position requires an ambitious self-starter and someone that can effectively generate outbound prospecting efforts and help process inbound inquiries to further qualified leads and opportunities
Specifically, you will work closely with the Account Management team to penetrate key accounts and prospects.
Identify key players using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin sales cycle.
Work with Account Managers to identify strategic targets at existing accounts for upsell opportunities. Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects and set online product demonstrations for sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage.
Engage with leads and prospects to drive them to demos of the platform with an account manager.
Maintain and document all activities appropriately within our CRM application.
Rapt attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are absolute requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of successful experience in telemarketing
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
  • High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful company
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with CRM applications preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required

This is a full-time position located in the U.S. The Company’s main office is in Redwood City, Calif., but remote offices are possible.

Although the position is in the U.S., it is required to work across multiple time zones. Our team is located throughout the U.S. and in Europe and conducts business on a daily basis with customers throughout Asia as well.

The ability to accomplish goals in collaboration with colleagues in all departments and locations is required.
