Google, Verily release open-source machine-learning genomics technology

The Google Brain team and the Verily Life Sciences LLC (South San Francisco, Calif.) subsidiary of Google parent company Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) announced the open-source release of its DeepVariant machine-learning technology. DeepVariant is designed to reconstruct genome sequences from high-throughput sequencing data with greater accuracy than previous classical methods.
