Brilinta regulatory update

AstraZeneca reached an agreement with Germany's Statutory Health Insurance Funds Association (GKV-Spitzenverband) on the price for cardiovascular drug Brilique ticagrelor. These are the first completed negotiations under new drug pricing law AMNOG, which came into effect in January 2011.

The price, which will apply retroactively from Jan. 1, 2012, will remain confidential until the contract's final version is signed. AstraZeneca said it expects the contract to be signed "shortly" and that the price will be made public in the "next few weeks." AstraZeneca did say the price is "fair." ...
