Studies find shared driver mutations between metastases, precancerous lesions

A pair of studies published this month in Science and Nature could help inform cancer treatment decisions by providing a more nuanced portrait of driver gene mutation heterogeneity between metastatic tumors and between discrete precancerous lesions within individual patients.
