Massachusetts reauthorizes life science initiative

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker signed into law Friday legislation that will invest up to $623 million in life science education, R&D and workforce training in the state.

The legislation will provide $473 million in funding over five years, which will be managed by the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. The legislation will also extend through 2028 a state tax credit, and increase the current annual statutory cap up to $30 million on tax credit awards, totaling $150 million over five years...
