Healthcare products dropped from tariffs against China

Chinese healthcare products won't be subject to additional 25% U.S. import duties, according to the final list of 818 products released Friday by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. The tariffs, which have an estimated annual trade value of $34 billion, go into effect July 6.

The final list contains 818 of the original 1,333 product lines proposed in the USTR's original list released in April, which included more than 80 categories of drugs, including antibiotics, vaccines, chemicals, medical devices and related technology.
