Trump reiterates drug price, right to try messages

In his first State of the Union address, President Donald Trump vowed to reduce prescription drug prices and called on Congress to pass right-to-try legislation. He made similar demands in 2017 during his first speech to a joint session of Congress.

Tuesday evening Trump said that one of his “greatest priorities is to reduce the price of prescription drugs.” Trump made it clear that his comments were directed at Alex Azar, who was sworn in Monday as HHS secretary, as well as the American people.
