HRSA recommending 340B final rule delay

In a notice, HHS's Health Resources and Services Administration proposed to delay by nine months the final rule of calculating the ceiling price and application of civil monetary penalties of the 340B Drug Pricing Program to July 1, 2018 from Oct. 1, 2017.
The 340B program is intended to provide discounted outpatient drugs to hospitals that serve a disproportionate share of poor and uninsured patients. Those hospitals can then dispense the discounted drugs to their non-Medicaid outpatients and use the savings to pay for the care of indigent patients...
