FDA's Rachel Sherman named principal deputy commissioner

FDA appointed Rachel Sherman as principal deputy commissioner in the Office of the Commissioner. She was associate deputy commissioner for medicinal products.

In her new role, Sherman will direct policy initiatives and lead special programs such as the Oncology Center for Excellence.
