China releases list of drugs up for negotiation

China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MoHRSS) released its list of 44 high-cost, high-value drugs for which it will negotiate pricing with manufacturers before inclusion on its updated national reimbursement drug list (NRDL), according to Goldman Sachs analyst Richard Yeh.

MoHRSS released its updated NRDL in February. At the time, it said its expert committee identified a group of drugs with high clinical value for which it intended to negotiate prices, and it would release the list after it confirmed that manufacturers would participate in the process (see BioCentury Extra, Feb. 23). ...
