Woodcock notes 'different approach' to funding PDUFA reauthorization

In prepared remarks for a House subcommittee hearing on Wednesday, Janet Woodcock, director of FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said that the existing PDUFA reauthorization proposal submitted to Congress in December "reflects a different approach to the Federal Budget" than the Trump administration has taken. "The Blueprint Budget supports many of the goals of the reauthorization proposal but proposes a different way of financing these goals," read Woodcock's remarks, which were released ahead of a meeting of the health subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
