ASCO developing CancerLinQ system

The American Society of Clinical Oncology said it began development of the CancerLinQ system -- a real-time learning system to help guide cancer treatment decisions and measure quality and performance. Early next year, the society said it will issue a request for proposals for a vendor to begin building the system, with a pilot system expected to be available to 10-15 large cancer practices in 18-24 months. ASCO CEO Allen Lichter said it will cost about $80 million over five years to develop CancerLinQ, which initially will focus on lymphoma along with breast, lung, colon and prostate cancers. ...
