CTTI holding private meeting on data transparency

The Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative is holding a meeting on Sept. 10 to discuss clinical trials data transparency. Participants in the invitation-only meeting will include EMA Senior Medical Officer Hans-Georg Eichler and FDA's Janet Woodcock, director of the agency's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. The meeting is intended to educate members on recent policy debates about data transparency and also to discuss what actions CTTI should take to enhance trial data transparency. CTTI is a public-private partnership that was created by FDA and Duke University to identify practices to increase the quality and efficiency of clinical trials. According to a CTTI spokesperson, the meeting is one of the group's "regular business meetings of CTTI member organizations" and is not open to the public, though "any decisions made will be publicly communicated." ...
