Airdoc completes B+ round for medical AI models

Medical artificial intelligence company Airdoc (Beijing, China) completed a series B+ round of financing from CITIC Consortium and Ping An Global Voyager Fund. The amount raised was not disclosed.

In April, the company raised a series B round led by Fosun Investments and existing investor Sogou Investments. While the exact amount was not disclosed, the company said it raised “multi-hundred million” renminbi.

Founded in 2015, Airdoc is using deep learning to build models for diagnostic medical imaging analysis and to monitor the risk and distribution of disease for supporting public health policy and pharmaceutical R&D and sales decisions.

The company’s retinal image analysis model can be used to diagnose more than 30 retinal and chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension and glaucoma.
