Kallyope raises $66M in series B

Kallyope Inc. (New York, N.Y.) raised $66 million in a series B round. Existing investors Lux Capital, The Column Group, Polaris Partners, Illumina Ventures and Alexandria Venture Investments participated, as did new investors Euclidean Capital and Two Sigma Ventures.

The company is using its platform to map the network of hormonal and neural circuits in the gut-brain axis, the bi-directional communication system between the gut and the brain. Kallyope said defects in the axis have been linked to metabolic and gastrointestinal diseases, as well as CNS disorders.
