XtalPi raises $15M series B

AI-driven drug discovery company XtalPi Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.) raised $15 million in a series B round led by Sequoia China. New investor Google Inc. and existing investor Tencent Holdings Ltd. (HKSE:0700) also participated.

The U.S. and China-based biotech was founded in 2014 by quantum physicists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology to combine artificial intelligence, quantum physics and cloud computing to predict characteristics of candidates, including small molecules.
