GNS Healthcare raises $6M to close $23M series C

GNS Healthcare Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.) raised $6 million from new investor Amgen Ventures and existing investor Alexandria Real Estate Equities in the final tranche of a $23 million series C round. Celgene Corp. (NASDAQ:CELG), Horizon Healthcare Services and GHO Capital also participated.

GNS will use the funds to further develop its Reverse Engineering and Forward Simulation (REFS) technology. The platform generates trillions of possible connections between biological data points, and calculates the probabilities that particular patient characteristics are responsible for disease or treatment outcomes (see BioCentury Innovations, June 4, 2015)...
