Roche extended for the second time its tender offer to acquire gene therapy company Spark for $4.8 billion. The deadline is June 3, pushed from May 2.
The companies said Friday they withdrew the premerger notification and report form to allow the Federal Trade Commission more time to review the transaction, and plan to refile by May 9. Spark Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:ONCE) said in an SEC filing the move is "not unusual in a transaction of this type." This marks at least the third time the form has been withdrawn...
