Shire pledges to exclusively publish in open-access journals

Shire plc (LSE:SHP; NASDAQ:SHPG) adopted a new transparency policy under which it will only submit Shire-supported research manuscripts to journals that allow free public access. The company announced the mandate Tuesday at the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals meeting in London.
