Shire planning redeployment, R&D head leaving

Shire plc (LSE:SHP; NASDAQ:SHPG) said it is planning to consolidate its more than 3,000 Massachusetts employees into two central hubs in Cambridge and Lexington within "a few years." Shire will also relocate 100 positions to Cambridge from Austria in the near term.
