Remune gp120-depleted HIV-1 immunogen data

IMNR published results of open-label testing in 92 HIV-infected people who used Remune in combination with antiviral drugs. In a 48-week period, viral loads and percentages of CD4 cells stabilized, and a cell-mediated immune response was evident.

As reported in the Journal of Clinical Immunology, one study enrolled 19 patients who were taking AZT, and 8 taking ddI. Another study had 65 patients who previously had been inoculated over a mean period of 4 years with the HIV-1 immunogen. This group received additional inoculations at 0 and 6 months in this second study. At some point in the latter trial, 72 percent of participants were using antiviral drugs as well. ...
