Two papers published in the Journal of the American Medical Association by a company collaborator and colleagues, concluded that the diameter of LDL particles was not a significant factor in predicting coronary artery disease (CAD) after adjusting for other factors.
One of the studies used data from 134 individuals enrolled in the Stanford Five-City Project. The other used a pre-existing database, The Physicians' Health Study, to pair 266 physicians who had heart attacks with 308 controls who had never experienced a heart attack. ...
