BioTransplant preclinical data

Researchers presented preclinical data showing that transplant tolerance can be achieved using BTI-322 without the use of whole body irradiation or myelosuppressive drugs. As reported at the International Conference of the Transplantation Society in Barcelona, Spain, mice were given intentionally mismatched organ transplants. Animals given the MAb had levels of bone marrow chimerism (cells derived from both donor and recipient) that were as high as in animals treated with the standard regimen, which included whole body irradiation.
