WF10 immune system modulator data

DIME announced results of a three-month Phase II double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial in late-stage AIDS patients. There were 10 opportunistic infections in the control group versus 4 in the treatment group. Patients in the active group required no days of hospitalization and no home care versus 53 hospitalization days and 100 home care days for controls. One year after the start of the trial 6 of the 9 control patients had died versus 1 of 10 treated patients.

Treated patients received a one-hour infusion of WF10 or placebo for five consecutive days, followed by 16 days of rest. The cycle was repeated four times. Antiretroviral therapy was withheld during the study. ...
