A paper published in BioTechniques outlined the company’s technology for simultaneous gene, mRNA and protein identification.

The first step in CD-Tagging involves production of a CD-Cassette, which consists of a DNA sequence flanked by acceptor and donor sites for RNA splicing. The cassette is inserted into an intron in a target gene. When the gene is transcribed, the resulting mRNA is tagged with a "guest exon" nucleotide sequence. When the mRNA is translated into a protein product, the tag appears as a "guest peptide" sequence containing an epitope that is recognized by an antibody. ...
