Forbes, Slovakofarma deal

The companies signed a letter of understanding to develop FMI's phytosterol-based drugs, including its FCP-3PI cholesterol lowering agent. Slovakofarma will secure in Slovakia a source of tall oil soap, a waste product of the pulp and forest industry, complete the scale-up process and manufacture phytosterol compounds.

Slovakofarma, which will receive manufacturing payments, is responsible for clinical development and regulatory approval in Europe, at its own expense. The companies will equally share the other costs. ...
