Isis Pharmaceuticals, Ciba-Geigy Ltd. deal

The companies finalized their agreement to expand their antisense collaboration to include the development of two anticancer compounds as well as future compounds arising from the research program (see BioCentury Sept. 18).

Ciba will fund the development of ISIS 3521/CGP 64128A, an antisense inhibitor of protein kinase C-alpha, as well as research to discover additional therapeutic compounds targeting isotypes of the PKC multi-gene family. ...
