Sepracor, HMR sales and marketing update

HMR began selling Allegra (fexofenadine hydrochloride), a non-sedating antihistamine, to treat seasonal allergic rhinitis. The product is a chiral version of Seldane, and will not carry Seldane's "black box" warning that the previous version of the product causes adverse cardiovascular events in rare cases. The product is priced at $0.71 per capsule, with standard therapy of two capsules daily. HMR said the price is 15 percent below Schering-Plough's Claratin nonsedating antihistamine. ...
