Pramlintide analog of human amylin data

AMLN (San Diego) announced that a 28-day, double-blind Phase II trial in 184 Type I diabetics showed lowering of post-meal and average 24-hour glucose concentration in the blood of patients who self-administered the amylin analog before each main meal and a late night snack.
At 30 µg doses, the agent improved average 24-hour blood glucose significantly (p=0.009, to a level of 31 mg/dl) compared to placebo. Post-meal blood glucose also was lowered significantly, the company said. ...
