LeukoVir-MB filter to remove viral inactivating chemicals and leukocytes from blood data

HMSR presented data showing that the LeukoVir-MB filter reduced methylene blue and white blood cells to undetectable levels with no effect on blood clotting factors.

As reported at the New Orleans meeting of the American Association of Blood Banks, fresh frozen plasma treated with methylene blue to inactivate viruses was passed through the filter, with no detectable methylene blue as a result, and removal of leukocytes to less than 1000 cells per unit. ...
