The Malvern, Penn., company published the ability of an antibody-targeted liposome to plug holes in cardiac cell membranes after hypoxia (reduced oxygen supply).

As reported in Nature Medicine, an anti-myosin antibody incorporated into liposomes prevented cell death in culture after hypoxia (cell viability was 96 percent compared to 14 percent of untreated cells).
