Ixsys deal

Ixsys received an exclusive worldwide license to a patent that describes the construction and use of combinatorial libraries for the molecular engineering of DNA, RNA, proteins and peptides.

The technology underlying the patent was co-invented by Stuart Kauffman, now of the Santa Fe Institute, and Marc Ballivet of the University of Geneva. The patent, which is held by Kauffman and has issued in several European and Asian nations, claims procedures for generating DNA, RNA and peptide and protein libraries, and protocols for screening the libraries to identify molecules with specific biological activities. ...
