MUSE medicated urethral system for erection data

The Menlo Park, Calif., company presented data at the Atlanta meeting of the American Diabetes Association, showing efficacy of the erection-inducing device in more than 70 percent of men with long-term erectile dysfunction.

Of 234 men enrolled in a Phase II/III trial, 77 percent succeeded in having intercourse, compared to 3 percent on placebo. The drugs tested were alprostadil and prazosin, which dilate blood vessels and are approved for use in cardiovascular diseases. ...
