Protein Design Labs preclinical data

PDLI announced that its humanized version of an antibody from Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. blocked platelet aggregation in rhesus monkeys with little prolongation of bleeding time, an undesirable side effect of anti-platelet drugs.

As reported by Yamanouchi researchers at the meeting of the American Society of Hematology in Seattle, aggregation was inhibited by 80 percent at a free antibody concentration of 11 nM. A larger concentration of antibody, 360 nM, was required to prolong bleeding time to 20 minutes. ...
