OrbusNeich, Masaryk Hospital cardiovascular news

The biotech filed suit in the District Court of Arnhem in the Netherlands against the hospital and Dr. Pavel Cervinka, head of the hospital's cardiology department, alleging defamation. Specifically, OrbusNeich alleges that Cervinka and the hospital committed unlawful acts by continuing to present - and publish - a study of OrbusNeich's Genous Bio-engineered R stent after admitting it was flawed, leading to damage to OrbusNeich's business and reputation. OrbusNeich is asking for an injunction preventing further presentation or publication of the study. The company requested the court's decision be submitted for publication in the same U.S. journal - Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions - in which Cervinka's study was published, along with an acknowledgement of the decision by Cervinka. The company also requested the defendants provide full data regarding the study, including all patient data, any communications with physicians or organizations which sponsored meetings at which presentations of the data were made and the names of companies or individuals who financed the study. ...
