Merck, China National Pharmaceutical Group Corp. deal

Merck and Sinopharm signed a statement of mutual intent to establish a JV to register, manufacture and commercialize adult and pediatric vaccines in China. The proposed JV would involve Merck vaccines, including its HPV vaccine, and utilize Sinopharm's technology for rotovirus, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and varicella vaccines.
