AMGN researchers published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that mice overexpressing TALL-1 (also known as BLyS) exhibit B cell hyperplasia (proliferation) and autoimmune lupus-like phenotypes that may result from prolonged survival and hyperactivity of B cells.
