Mirati vet Christensen named CEO of well-funded start-up Terremoto

Terremoto Biosciences Inc., a California start-up dedicated to AKT1 biology, has a new CEO in James Christensen, the Mirati Therapeutics Inc. and Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) alum who has been serving as head of R&D. The announcement comes a few months after the company raised $108 million in a series C round.
Christensen, who is a venture partner at OrbiMed, succeeds Charles Baum, who becomes executive chairman. Peter Thompson, co-founder and the current chairman, will remain on the company’s board. Christensen was CSO of Mirati and, before that, was head of oncology precision medicine in Pfizer’s oncology research unit. He retains the title of president. ...
