Former Black Diamond CEO David Epstein passes away

David M. Epstein, a biotech executive and professor gifted with “rare scientific intuition,” passed away on Saturday. He was 67.

Epstein’s three-decade biopharma career included increasingly senior roles at Archemix Corp., OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Astellas Pharma Inc.; the co-founding of two biotechs that he led as CEO; and a long tenure at Singapore’s Duke-NUS Medical School.
