PureTech-backed Celea preps IPF study with fresh $180M round: Finance Report

Nearly a year after PureTech established spin-out company Celea and said it would seek outside investors to back its IPF program, an investor syndicate has signed on for a $180 million series A.

The group backing  Celea Therapeutics Inc. includes RA Capital Management, Leaps by Bayer, and PureTech Health plc (LSE:PRTC) itself, as well as an undisclosed U.S. health care fund and a sovereign wealth fund. The cash arrives as Celea prepares to begin a Phase III study of deupirfenidone (LYT-100), its deuterated formulation of Esbriet pirfenidone, to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis...
