NewCo boom picks up pace in 1H26
Halfway through the year, at least 13 West-based companies have launched with Asian assets, nearly matching 2025’s full-year total

Asia’s NewCo model appears to be accelerating. BioCentury has identified at least 13 companies launched this year with headquarters in the West and assets licensed from Asia — nearly matching the 14 formed in all of 2025, and already double the six in 2024.
