Senate bill seeks to enhance DoD’s ability to sanction Chinese companies

The Senate Armed Services Committee has approved draft legislation that seeks to strengthen the Department of Defense’s ability to designate companies as Chinese military companies. The committee’s version of the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act also would create a research-security regime for universities.
