While the U.K. has been on the biotech map for some time, Spain is emerging as a hot spot for clinical trials in Phase I — an area moving into focus as the need for speed in generating early human data takes on new importance. Across Europe, hot spots for clinical trials vary by disease area, with I&I activity distributed across the broadest set of countries.
