New coalition calls for increased capital inflows into EU biotech funds, improved capital markets, faster clinical trials

A confluence of falling equity and R&D investment in Europe, coupled with geopolitical instability, has convinced a group of blue-chip European VCs that now is the moment to mount a coordinated push to strengthen domestic biotech financing — and to press for policy and regulatory changes aimed at improving Europe’s competitiveness with the U.S. and China.
