Rep. Auchincloss challenges legality of commissioner’s national priority voucher program

FDA Commissioner Marty Makary’s signature initiative, the commissioner’s national priority voucher program, is both bad public policy and illegal, according to Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-Mass.).

Auchincloss, a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees FDA, accused the agency under Makary’s leadership of being “replete with conflicts of interest, illegal maneuvers, and political interference” in a letter sent to the commissioner Tuesday. ...
