Syncona’s Yellowstone names Sana co-founder Jim MacDonald CEO

Yellowstone Biosciences Ltd., an Oxford, U.K.-based oncology start-up backed by Syncona Ltd. (LSE:SYNC), named Jim MacDonald CEO. He spent the past three years as a venture partner at Altitude Life Science Ventures, and was a co-founder, EVP and general counsel at Sana Biotechnology Inc. (NASDAQ:SANA). MacDonald was also SVP and chief intellectual property officer at Juno Therapeutics Inc., which Celgene Corp. acquired in 2018. He will take a seat on the board of Yellowstone, which is advancing HLA Class II therapeutics for cancer.
